Throughout November, we salute the “mitten” state’s spirit producers, who create everything from artisan vodkas and craft ales to ice wines and pinot noir.
Founder's Brewery (Grand Rapids)		Founders Brewing Co. is famous for Kyle's favorite motto in the beer biz, which is: "Brewed for us, enjoyed by everyone." Black Star Farms (Suttons Bay)		Black Star Farms is a small winery with a hand-crafted approach to winemaking, located on the same 45th Parallel that runs through some of the great wine regions of the world. They produce classic varietal wines and fruit brandies. Hard Apple Cider - From their beautiful orchards of Leelanau peninsula, this hard apple cider is produced from eight different cider apples. Bursting with fresh apples, with an elegant effervescence that adds the perfect pop for the harvest season.
Grand Traverse Distillery (Traverse City)		Prior to prohibition, local family owned microdistilleries were prevalent in America. Finally enjoying resurgence, micro-distilleries are becoming a trend in Michigan, and we think Grand Traverse is a leader – producing ultra-premium True North Vodka, hand-crafted in small batches using local rye and the crystal clear glacial waters of Michigan. Black Cherry Flip Cocktail - Flips have been around at least since Jerry Thomas’s 1862 guide, How to Mix Drinks. We combine the cherry-infused True North Vodka with Heering Cherry Liqueur, pineapple juice, grenadine and egg white (for the froth) to create a smooth, creamy cocktail with full-on cherry flavor!
