About our presenter

Brianne Fisher, Paritua Vineyards This course will be led by the managing director of Mount George Vineyards & Paritua Vineyards, Brianne Fisher. Brianne was born on the East Coast of the United States but raised in Chicago. She first learned to appreciate wine with her father Brian, an international business executive with a passion for both new world and classic styles of winemaking.

After studying magazine editing and marketing at Indiana University, Brianne spent 18 years working for U.S. magazine publishers including Time Inc. and Condé Nast. She married Gary Fisher, co-owner of both Paritua Vineyards and the Oceania Wine Group, in 2000 and moved to Hong Kong. She shares Gary’s love of wine, travel and food and planned their pivotal January 2001 trip to New Zealand to explore its various wine producing regions.

Embracing life as a Kiwi has come easy, and Brianne is now Hawke’s Bay-based. She also travels frequently to the United States, Hong Kong and further afield to build the export side of her businesses.
