Kéknyelű ("Blue Stalk") is an indigenous and very rare white grape variety, today only planted in the Badacsony area of Hungary, near the shores of Lake Balaton. Bright, almost translucent, in color with aromas of white flowers, citrus, and white pepper. The palate is rich stone-fruit flavors, spice, and good acidity and minerality. The finish is long and smoky. Pair with Moules Mariniere.
