The domaine of Escaravailles was founded in 1953. It takes its name from the dialect of Escaravay-which means scarab beetle-the local nickname for the peoples of the village of Rasteau in 1623! Blend of Grenache and Syrah, this wine is deep red in color with purple reflections. The nose offers aromas of small black fruits (cassis). The mouth is full, fruity and spicy with supple tannins. Simple and pleasant-this wine is perfect for sharing with friends, or pair with slow-cooker ribs.
